REISS | TOM DALEY FOR PRIDE 2025

Introducing Reiss | Tom Daley, an exclusive 15-piece unisex collection in celebration of Pride 2025, with all profits going to LGBTQ+ charity, Rainbow Railroad. Combining Tom Daley’s passion for knitting and crochet, his career as an Olympic diver and Reiss’ modern design aesthetic, this unique collaboration is inspired by the themes of love, pride and water.

The theme of water is evident through the tonal blue shades, wave patterns and waterfall sequins that flow through the collection. Water and swimming are also referenced in the abstract image depicting two swimmers in a pool, created by LGBTQ+ artist Richard Kilroy, and used for the collection label and a coordinating print T-shirt.

Love is a recurring theme, highlighted through the collection's LOVER logo embroidered, knitted or printed across the pieces, as well as the embossed leather patches and heart-shaped motifs that adorn several styles.

Tom’s passion for knitting and crochet is evident across the collection with chunky hand-knit-effect pieces, crocheted panels and blanket stitch details.

We caught up with Tom to ask him why he wanted to create this collection for Pride, and which pieces are his favourites.

As a campaigner and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, why did you want to design this collection for Pride?

The collection is super important because all the proceeds go to Rainbow Railroad, an incredible charity who help provide support and a safe haven for LGBTQ+ people around the world.

Why do you think Pride is so important globally, particularly at the moment?

I feel that Pride is more important globally now than ever. Some people forget what the meaning of Pride is. It’s not just a party and it’s not just about the parade. Pride is a protest. Pride is always making sure that fighting for our rights is at the forefront of people’s minds. And with all that’s going on in the world at the moment, it’s more important than ever that we stand up for every single minority.

What were your inspirations for the designs?

My inspirations for designing the Reiss | Tom Daley collection were some of my favourite things – love, pride, water and knitting.

For the collection label and graphic tee image I wanted to be able to bring a little bit of the pool into it - and as it’s a Pride collection I like how the artist, Richard Kilroy was ambiguous as to the genders of the people in the pool. Sequins really spoke to me when it came to knitting as they bounce light off the piece, just like you'd see on the surface of the water.

I love texture and elements that look hand-finished, such as blanket stitching, and it was really important to me to include these little details in the collection.

Which are your favourite pieces?

I love all the pieces from the collection, but I do have a few favourites. I really like the Horizon vests – they fit so well. And then I love the image of the swimmers on the T-shirt - I think it’s absolutely awesome. And I also love the sequins - the sequinned shirt and the sleeveless polo shirt with the sequin stripes with LOVER across the front.

What does Pride mean to you?

Pride to me means being visible, being authentically yourself and fighting for the rights of all minorities.

All profits from the collection will be donated to Rainbow Railroad, a charity that helps provide support and safety for LGBTQ+ people around the world.
